Another Starlet to break out next season

The Arsenal midfielder Gedion Zelalem has been among the principal group squad for quite a while, however has shockingly never truly possessed the capacity to advance into the match day squad. The American is a customary among the Arsenal youth groups and has been extremely encouraging in his quality whist at the club. An advance spell at Scottish monsters Rangers likewise demonstrated his potential, yet despite everything he appears to be no nearer to showing up with the Arsenal initially group.

Zelalem broke onto the scene as a simple adolescent and it might astonish you to learn he is still just 20 years of age. However following a couple of years of not advancing any higher than the previous level, time is not on Zelalem's side to stay with Arsenal.

The 20 year old is in genuine peril of falling further down the pecking request at Arsenal, particularly with the presentation of all the more initially group signings and youth players, for example, Jeff Reine Adelaide surpassing him. Moreover he's currently been managed a major blow that could mean his odds at Arsenal might be adequately over, with the midfielder having endured a damage that will discount him for the lion's share of next season.

While on global obligation with the USA under 20 squad at the Under20 World Cup in South Korea, Zelalem was dragged away the pitch following 34 minutes. He got a terrible damage with outputs later uncovering he had maintained an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL). The ACL damage is probably going to keep him sidelined for in any event the following 9 months thus despite the fact that he would have likely had a 3 month summer break from football in any case, Zelalem will in any case not return until around March 2018 unless his recuperation is snappier than regular.

An arrival date of March 2018 implies that he is probably not going to be conveyed on advance after his arrival next season and he will obviously be no more like a touch of first group activity at Arsenal. At 21 years of age, he could endure an indistinguishable destiny from such a large number of Arsenal youths before him, of having so much guarantee, yet being not able satisfy their desires.

DEAL CLOSE : Arsenal officials set to conclude transfer of South American star in the next few weeks

Arsenal officials set to conclude transfer of South American star in the next few weeksArsenal goalkeeper David Ospina and Fenerbahce have opened talks to finalise the transfer of the goalkeeper from London to Istanbul.

The Colombia international has yet again struggled to secure a regular place in Arsene Wenger's line-up with Petr Cech a solid regular in the Frenchman's formation.

The two clubs met last summer to negotiate the transfer of the 28-year-old but in the end he decided to stay with the Gunners.

It would be another problem for manager Arsene Wenger if the goalkeeper leaves the club.

Petr Cech will again be the regular for the Gunners so Wojciech Szczesny will not return from his loan spell at Roma to sit on the bench.

And attracting important goalkeepers will not be easy since Arsenal will not feature in next season's Champions League.

GOOD NEWS : Max Allegri non-committal on Juventus future amid Arsenal links

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has lent credence to rumours he will join Arsenal this summer by refusing to commit his future to the Serie A champions. Allegri guided Juventus to the Serie A title for a third successive season with their win over Crotone at the weekend with the 49-year-old’s Old Lady side winning the league and Coppa Italia double in all three of his campaigns in charge.

The Italian is among the few names seriously linked with replacing Arsene Wenger at Arsenal this summer, although there is still no official word on the Gunners coach’s status.

With Juventus set to take on Real Madrid next week in the Champions League final, Allegri has indicated he will not talk about his future with the Italian side until after the match in Cardiff.

When Allegri was told by La Gazzetta dello Sport that Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta has said the manager was free to decide his own future he responded, per the Daily Mail: “He said it depends on me?

“It depends on both of us and we haven’t spoken yet. We will sit down and decide what we have to do.

‘I’m happy here, but Juve have reached such a high level that it will not be easy to maintain our status, so we’ll have to compare ideas on how to do that. But for now the most important thing is to win the final in Cardiff.

‘Let’s take two or three days off to rest because we deserve it – the last five months have been tough – but then we have to go to Cardiff and try to win the cup.”

Allegri at Juventus
Since taking charge of Juventus in 2014 Allegri has guided the club through 164 competitive matches. The Old Lady has won 115 of them, a winning rate of 70.12%.

From those games only 21 have been losses as well, meaning that under Allegri Juventus have only been defeated in 12.8% of their games.

The 49-year-old has taken Juventus to success in three Serie A campaigns, and has also won three Coppa Italia trophies.

The side also won the Supercoppa Italiana in 2015 and have reached the Champions League final twice in two years – one of which could still yield a major European trophy.

Arsenal Star Set To Leave Following Agent’s Trip – But Bad News For Chelsea

Alexis Sanchez’s contract at Arsenal is meant to expire by 2018, the Chilean star has been linked with european top clubs and he is expected to leave the North London club when summer comes.New reports coming from Chile reveals that his agent has begun talks over a summer transfer.

The Chile international has had a lovely season with Arsenal – his 29 goals this campaign could not help Arsene Wenger’s side finish among the top four.

The former Barcelona player has admitted that he desire Champions League football next season, and right now, his agent has reportedly traveled to Bavaria to begin talks with German heavyweights Bayern Munich.

Premier league champions Chelsea have been also linked with him as Antonio Conte desire adding more quality to his side ahead of next season’s Champions League.

However, it appears Chelsea would lose him to the Bundesliga side. The Munich club are set to offer £50 million for Alexis, and it was also added that he will earn £11 million a season at the club.

FINALLY : Arsene Wenger drop hints over HIS future at Arsenal

Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal are in need to sign one or two players to reach the same level as 2016/17 Premier League champions, Chelsea. For the first time in 20 years, Arsenal have finished the season outside the top-four and there has been talks that it is time for Wenger to leave the club, however, Frenchman looks positive for the upcoming season and back his side to challenge Chelsea next season.

Arsenal have ended up 18 points behind from current champions Chelsea, but despite their shortfalls this term, the 67-year-old manager insists he only needs two ‘top quality’ signings to win the Premier League title.

‘I think this group of players is good enough to come back,’ said the Arsenal boss.

‘They have learned a lot and they have gone through difficult periods this season and they have bounced back in a very strong way.

‘I think that will help them, absolutely, next season.

‘But first I think we have to keep 90 per cent of these players together and find one or two more who strengthen the group but we don’t need a lot. We don’t need many. But we need maybe top quality.’

Signing two quality players might not be enough for Arsenal to dominate in England next season as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have been heavily linked with an exit from Emirates Stadium after missing out Champions League football.

He scored 20 goals in Belgium's top flight.

The player has also been linked with a move to Southampton, Everton, West Brom, Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough in recent weeks.

The youngster has a £6.8million release clause in his contract and has already turned down offers from Belgian clubs Brugge and Anderlecht.

Arsenal In Talks To Sign Striker Who’s Bagged 24 Goals This Season

Arsenal aren’t holding back in their preparations to strengthen the squad following an absolutely dismal season in the Premier League. The Gunners finished outside of the top four for the first time in 20 years, and a campaign of Thursday night Europa League now awaits the likes of Alexis and Ozil.

However, in an attempt to get the fans back on their side, Arsenal officials have opened talks with a number of different players, with the latest being slightly less known.

According to the reliable Sky Sports reporter, Kaveh Solhekol, Arsenal have entered the early stages of trying to sign Nigerian striker, Henry Onyekuru.

Arsenal in talks to sign Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side KAS Eupen. Release clause £6.8m. Top scorer in Belgium

The 19-year-old is one of the hottest topics to come out of the 2016/17 campaign in Belgium’s top division, despite his side finishing in the bottom half of the table.

Onyekuru has a £6.8million release clause in his contract which would make it a steal for Arsenal to sign him within the next few weeks.

KAS Eupen would jump at the chance to make that sort of financial gain, despite him being their top goalscorer having bagged 24 goals and nine assists in 41 games.

However, the Gunners will face serious competition for the Nigerian’s services, with Southampton, Everton, Middlesbrough and West Brom all in the running.

Onyekuru is a huge Arsenal fan though and it’s his dream to play for the club, making the personal terms an easy part of these negotiations.

This really does look like a serious signing for Arsene Wenger to make, but it won’t please the supporters much, who are now sick of placing their hopes on unknown players.

The likes of Yaya Sanogo, Takuma Asano and Kelechi Nwakali have been purchased in recent season, all of which match the scenario of signing Onyekuru!

DONE:Club confirms 22-year-old to Arsenal this summer

Despite the current injury crisis at centre-back, Arsene Wenger will have one more player added to his options in that department this summer. Calum Chambers was allowed to join Middlesbrough back in August after featuring in Arsenal’s 4-3 defeat to Liverpool on the opening day of the season.

Following the emergence of Rob Holding at the Emirates stadium, Steve Agnew’s side, who have been relegated from the top flight, could have pursued the option of making Chambers’ move a permanent one.

However, Middlesbrough confirmed on Monday morning that the defender, along with Alvaro Negredo, will not be remaining at the club.

“Calum Chambers and Alvaro Negredo said farewell to their Boro team-mates on Monday as the club’s players parted for the summer break.” a confirmation from Middlesbrough said

“England Under-21s international Chambers and Spanish international striker Negredo had both been with Boro on season-long loan deals from Arsenal and Valencia respectively.”

MUST READ : Wenger – Signings I want to make and players we will keep

Arsene Wenger has revealed the number of new signings he would like to make while keeping “90%” of the players in the current squad this summer. The Gunners began the campaign as title contenders, keeping themselves within touching distance of eventual champions Chelsea until the set-back of consecutive defeats to Everton and Manchester City in December.

Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Everton meant that despite a strong end to the league season, Arsenal could not manage to finish in the top four this time.

The team’s failure to meet minimum expectations has seen several fans and pundits call for a flurry of transfer activity this summer.

However, Wenger insists his squad is in need of only ‘one or two’ new signings.

“This group of players is good enough to come back,” the Arsenal manager said after Sunday’s game

“They’ve learned a lot. They’ve gone through difficult periods this season and bounced back in a very strong way. That will help them absolutely next season.

“You have to keep 90% of these players together and find one or two more to strengthen the group. You don’t need a lot. You need maybe top quality,”

Wenger desperate to sign this Serie A winning star to replace Wilshere perfectly

9jagift brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.Arsenal are preparing a bid for Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina, after Wenger identified him as his top midfield target this summer, according to Standard Sport.

The report claims Arsenal are in the market for a new central midfielder and Wenger wants to secure the services of Lemina who has been likened to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

The Gabonese international is yet to fully break into Juventus starting xi and has managed to feature from the start on just 15 occasions this year. However, he is considered as a very promising, dynamic midfielder with the potential to play at the top level.

Juventus are reportedly open to the idea of selling the midfielder, as they do not consider him part of their current plans and Arsenal are keen to offer him a route to the Emirates.

Arsenal are yet to open negotiations with juventus over the midfielder’s transfer but that wouldn’t be a problem once the future of Wenger is resolved.

Wenger’s reluctance to decide whether he wants to stay or not is somewhat slowing things down as regards summer transfer targets but transfer activities will get into full swing when he signs a new deal, which is the likely scenario.

Lemina’s arrival will further cast doubt on Jack Wilshere’s future, considering the English man is expected to be part of our team next year. Arsenal was expected to make Wilshere a key part of its plans but the midfielder’s inability to stay fit could have forced the club to look somewhere else for reinforcement.

Arsenal man to leave Arsenal for La Liga, Club make him their top summer target

9jagift brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.Francis Coquelin has become a target of Spanish side Valencia, according to a report in Squawka.

Coquelin has been a mainstay in Arsenal’s starting xi since December 2015 and has seen his reputation rise geometrically in the last 18 months. He was recently rewarded with a new four year contract in January but the French man is being targeted by Valencia.

Spanish publication AS claims Valencia are keen on strengthening it’s midfield this summer and Coquelin alongside Malaga’s Ignacio Camacho are their top targets.

Coquelin has found himself more on the bench in recent weeks as Wenger prefers a Xhaka-Ramsey midfield paring in his new 3-4-2-1 formation and Valencia could be looking to take advantage of that.

A tough tackling midfielder, not scared to go into tackles and one that does the dirty job for the team, Coquelin will be a big loss if allowed to leave.

Arsenal are expected to reject Valencia’s advances if they step up their interest in the French man as Wenger is looking to add to his current options in midfield rather than depleting it.

Coquelin joined Arsenal in 2008 and has made 97 league appearances since his arrival and he is expected to play a key role for us in the future.

Target finally breaks silence on arsenal move

9jagift brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.Atletico Madrid striker Antoinne Greizmann has revealed he will never play for Arsenal.

The French striker has established himself as one of football’s best players since completing a move to Atletico in 2014 and is now on the radar of almost every top football club.

Arsenal were one of the clubs that showed interest in the forward last summer but nothing materialized and the French man has now revealed why he wasn’t interested in entertaining our summer interest because we snubbed the chance to sign him a few years before.

According to Tribal Football, the forward revealed in an interview that he was desperate to become a Gunner in 2013 when he was at Real Sociedad only for us not to follow up our interest.

“After the 2013 season, I had scored 10 goals in a row. 34 championship matches with Real Sociedad .

“During that summer, one approach caught my attention. It emanated from Arsenal .

“I focused on this possibility and I dismissed the other potential proposals. To join the club directed for so many years by Arsène Wenger could attract me. I waited, waited and waited … Finally, a few hours from the end of the transfer market, we were made to understand that Arsenal would not follow up. So there has never been an offer. I do not like to say one thing and not stand by it.

The striker then revealed he wasn’t interested in a move to the Emirates when Arsenal’s interest was brought to his knowledge last summer.

“Also, when more recently, Eric Olhats [his adviser] spoke to me about the interest of the London club [Arsenal], I replied: Forget it. With the blow they made us.”

The summer of 2013 ended up being a quiet one for Arsenal, with Yaya Sanogo, Mathieu Flamini, Mesut Ozil and Emiliano Viviano the only arrivals that year.

It is unknown why Wenger failed to follow up its interest in the winger, only him can answer that but this just shows how flawed our transfer policy has been and that’s why we are where we are at the moment.

Wenger blaming Arsenal fans for his failures again?

Arsene disrespected the Arsenal fans again by not walking around the pitch and then blamed us for his failure. by Konstantin MitovOkay, so before Arsenal announce Wenger’s new contract and I stop bothering with this, because failure is not my thing, I would like to address a fundamental problem in the situation we are in and this is the fact that the manager and the board have shown the fans one giant middle finger.  And that was solidified by the fact that Arsene refused to go around and greet the fans. Ask yourselves why? Why didn’t he take it on the chin? He ignores everything, he doesn’t care if we like him or not, all he craves is power and if you haven’t realized it yet, than I don’t think any more evidence will convince you, because we’ve become a symbol for failure.

GOOD NEWS : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

I’d like to address the people who abuse me at the comments, because unlike Arsene I like to hear what people say and improve the content I am giving them by asking you to explain why you believe he should stay and give counter-arguments to what you don’t like about me, because abusing something is weak. It means you are Arsene and you don’t have any more arguments in your favour, so abuse is the only thing left.

And the way Arsene blamed us and the hostile environment is so pathetic. I had to go to a office full of Man Utd fans, after we lost 8-2 there. This year I had to greet some Bayern fans who greeted me high five, TWICE! I had to endure songs about losing 6-0 at Chelsea and I lived somehow with it. I never received any money, a card, nothing from this club, but I did give it 15 years of pure support every weekend.

I accepted all sorts of banter about our gigantic failures, the top 4 trophy and so on and so on and I tried to find the positives and stick by the club, but I cannot just ignore the elephant in the room and pretend everything is ok. For 5 years I’ve been crying to get rid of Arsene. I blamed Fabregas and Van Persie for leaving but now I see they were right. It hurts, but it was the better choice for them and it proves with the titles they won.

And you can add that to the list of disappointments seeing my favorite players leaving year by year, but this time I can’t take it. I cant see Sanchez go to Chelsea, which could realistically happen. And the icing of the cake is the person responsible for this mess, coming out to say it’s our fault for the failed season. Did we drop Sanchez against Liverpool? Had we not lost that game, we’d be 4th now.

After the loss in the first game of the season, Wenger said we started the season unprepared. Why? Did I do the coaching or the transfers? Why didn’t we have 2 proper center backs for that game? Why did we let the lead slip away? Why do we stick with players who obviously are not good enough for this club? I buy the kit, I watch the games, what more is wanted from me? I support the team, but support needs to be both ways. The club needs to show, it cares for it’s fans, but it only cares as far as taking our money.

Arsene quite a few time said “I built this club”. Yep I agree 1886, probably you traveled back in time to establish it and afterwards you build the Emirates brick by brick, but worse quite a big amount of people agree with this and think it’s the truth. If you think I am the problem for this, then worry not, it’s highly probable that next season I will stop writing, because giving Arsene another season is the ultimate abuse in the face of an Arsenal fan.

Finally though, we have to mention the board who could’ve prevented this mess by forcing Arsene to make a move or leave. If they wanted him so badly, they could’ve said ‘you have 2 weeks to sign or the contract goes elsewhere.’ How can we leave our future to be decided in June? If you are an Arsenal player how can you be happy, when you got no idea who will be the manager, which players will be staying and so on?

This happened many years in a row and people always closed their eyes, because we got 4th. We have no ambition to move past 4th and we deserve to miss the Champions league, because to go there you need ambition. Words like that and “change” have been banned from our dictionary. The ultimately worst thing about the whole situation is the fact that Kroenke won’t sell to Usmanov, and my god if Usmanov comes, we’ll return to the glory days.

Arsene will be forced to win or leave and leave it will be, because Arsenal have spent more than Chelsea in recent years, yet I see 2 titles for them and the Europa league for us. My plea to you is to look at the real problem and address it if you are willing to keep fighting this fight, because otherwise we will be the new Liverpool.

The FA cup final is a time for a clear message that Wenger and Kroenke have to leave and this has to be the message each day from now until the day one of them is actually gone. Only then, will any sort of progress be seen.

BBC JOURNALIST: THREE ARSENAL CENTRE-BACKS COULD MISS FA CUP FINAL

Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi is a massive doubt to face Premier League champions Chelsea in the FA Cup final next weekend, according to a BBC journalist.BBC Sport’s David Ornstein posted on Monday morning that the 25-year-old German defender is suffering from a concussion, making him a major doubt for the London derby at Wembley Stadium.

GOOD NEWS : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

Mustafi’s injury only adds to a long list of Arsenal absentees for the final as Ornstein also mentioned on his personal Twitter account that central defender Gabriel could also be unavailable to take on Chelsea.

The 26-year-old Brazilian defender was taken off on a stretcher in the 53rd minute on the final day of the season against Everton.

French defender Laurent Koscielny has been ruled out of the FA Cup final after he received a straight red card on the weekend following a reckless challenge on Everton forward Enner Valencia.

Arsenal have already struggled to cope without Koscielny in the heart of the defence earlier this season especially in the Champions League when the Gunners conceded nine goals against Bayern Munich when the Frenchman was off the pitch.

The potential absence of these players, not to mention Alex Oxlade Chamberlain’s recent injury, means that Arsene Wenger might need to start Arsenal captain Per Mertesacker in the FA Cup final.

The 32-year-old German defender replaced the injured Gabriel in the 3-1 victory over Everton on the weekend.

Arsenal Star opens Fernabache talks

Arsenal reserve goalkeeper David Ospina has officially entered talks with Turkish giants Fenerbahce over the summer move, according to reports to the Mirror. The 28-year-old shot stopper has grown frustrated over the lack of playing time at Arsenal and is ready to quit Emirates in pursuit of regular minutes elsewhere.

The Colombian international has seen his role for the north London club severely limited and is aware things could even get worse if and when Wojciech Szczesny returns from his loan spell at Serie A giants AS Roma.

GOOD NEWS : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

Ospina still has another two years in his deal with Arsenal, but the Colombian has been persistently linked with a move away from London over the past year. Arsene Wenger did manage to persuade Ospina to remain at the club last season, but the club will have hard time keeping the 28-year-old this time around.

Turkish outfit Fenerbahce have been nurturing their interest for the Arsenal man for well over a season now and reports claim that they have already presented Ospina with a four-year contract offer the Colombian is prepared to accept. The Yellow Canaries are planning a summer overhaul after a disappointing campaign and are prepared to spend big to make their team as competitive as possible for the Turkish championship and Europa league.

After contacting David Ospina first and having received positive feedback from the player, Fenerbahce are now opening negotiations with Arsenal with a £5 million transfer on the cards this summer.

Just like Fenerbahce, Arsenal will also participate in the Europa League next season after missing out on a Champions League spot for the first time in almost two decades.

Gunners concluded the Premier League season with a 3-1 win over Everton, but still missed out on the top-four finish as Liverpool also won their respective match again st relegated Middlesbrough 3-0.

Arsenal still have one match remaining and a chance to end the season with a trophy as they are due to meet Premier League champions in the FA Cup final next Saturday.

VIDEO: Chelsea vs Sunderland 5 – 1 All Goals & Highlight (Premier League)

John Terry bid an emotional farewell to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, the Chelsea captain substituted on 26 minutes in his final appearance at the stadium as they capped off a title-winning Premier League campaign with a 5-1 win over relegated Sunderland.

The curtain on Terry’s Chelsea career will come down at next weekend’s FA Cup final with Arsenal, and his send-off in his last game at the London club’s home received top billing, the action on the pitch reduced to the role of an eventful sideshow.
After Chelsea called for his withdrawal on minute 26 – the number he wears on his shirt – Terry was embraced by his team-mates in the middle of the field, taking in a standing ovation from the crowd and receiving a guard of honour as he left the field.
A Sunderland opener will not have been in the script for Chelsea’s final-day party, but Javier Manquillo’s third-minute effort will be remembered as little more than a footnote after Chelsea fought back to win comfortably against the league’s bottom club.
Willian equalised in the eighth minute and, after Chelsea spurned a host of chances to make it 2-1, Eden Hazard finally did so with a fine finish in the 61st minute.
The Wearsiders had performed relatively well, but a piece of abysmal defending from Joleon Lescott allowed Pedro to add gloss to the scoreline, the former Barcelona man then turning provider for Michy Batshuayi for the first of the substitute’s late double as the champions ended the season on 93 points.

VIDEO: Some things you don't see in Arsenal vs Everton match

Munititions stockpile's 3-1 disarm Everton was insufficient to secure Champions League capability and, to exacerbate matters, Arsene Wenger faces a potential choice emergency in front of the FA Cup last.

Alexis Sanchez, Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel could all miss Saturday's Wembley conflict with Premier League champions Chelsea taking after a frantically baffling day for the Gunners at Emirates Stadium, regardless of their triumph.

Taking after Hector Bellerin's initial opener, Koscielny was demonstrated a straight red card for a wild jump on Enner Valencia and, after Sanchez had multiplied the lead, Gabriel was taken off on a stretcher with a left knee damage after an unbalanced fall.

Sanchez then limped off halfway during that time half, in what may yet demonstrate a further hit to Arsenal's expectations of rescuing something from their season.

GOOD NEWS: “Arsenal are my dream club” – £30m star midfielder confirms as Wenger close in on surprise move

9jagift brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.

Arsenal are interested in signing Olympic Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to The Mirror. Wenger is said to be keen on midfield reinforcements this summer and the French man is a big admirer of the Lyon midfielder. Arsenal have been on Tolisso’s trail for quite sometime and we could now face paying up to £30m for his services.

The player is said to be keen on leaving Lyon this summer to a big club in a bid to boost his chances of making the France 2018 world cup squad and Wenger is willing to offer him that opportunity.

Arsenal’s pursuit of the midfielder could be aided by the fact that he is a big fan of the club. Speaking in an interview last October, Tolisso declared his love for the Premier League, in the process revealing that he dreams of being a Gunner.

‘Many clubs make me dream like Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and England with teams like Arsenal.

‘I love the Premier League and I think I have the profile. This is the championship that also offers more competition, which is the most open, the most contested and most spectacular.’

Arsenal may seem to have enough numbers in midfield with Xhaka, Coquelin, Ramsey, Cazorla all at Wenger’s disposal but Gooners are better placed to know that an additional midfielder will do us a whole lot of good next term.

In January, we suffered a mini-midfield crisis which ultimately led to our falling out of the title race, must be avoided next season if we must do better next year and signing Tolisso will give us the much needed quality and numbers in terms of squad depth.

Arsenal preparing a huge bid for Real Madrid Trio

9jagift brings you the latest Arsenal news, match analysis, transfer news, injury news, team news and rumours from trusted media outlets around the world.Arsenal are planning a double raid on Real Madrid as Wenger prepares to carry out a major overhaul of his squad this summer.

Wenger is keen on strengthening the squad ahead of next season, after falling short in the title race once again.

A striker is said to be top of Wenger’s wish list and Don Balon via The Daily Star,  claim Benzema is a priority.

The Spanish striker has been inconsistent this term and Madrid top brasses are said to be open to the idea of selling him.

Arsenal are believed to be big fans of the striker, having been linked with him in almost every transfer window and that could well the reason our name has cropped up again now that his future is in doubt.

Another Madrid player said to be on Arsenal’s short list is Brazilian defender Danilo. Wenger has reportedly lined up the fullback as a replacement for Bellerin who is being linked with a move to Barcelona.

The report claims Wenger is prepared to pay £17.2m for the defender, considering he has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu since completing a €31.5m move in 2015.

Gooners are keen to see Wenger splash the cash this summer but few will be happy with reports linking us with the Madrid duo. Benzema, who has been one of football’s best strikers over the year had a poor outing this term compared to his usual standards and most Arsenal faithful believes he is showing signs that he is past his best.

Danilo, a top defender but can’t be compared to Bellerin. Hence we don’t think he’ll be the perfect replacement for the Spaniard.

Also, Midfielder Luka Modric has also been mentioned as a surprise star in Wenger’s summer shopping list.

Arsenal Transfer News: £20m Target-man Open For a Summer Move

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly prepared to leave the club this summer, potentially bringing a five-year spell in north London to an end as he looks to secure his place in France’s squad ahead of the World Cup next summer.Giroud, who joined the Gunners from Montpellier in 2012, has largely been used as a back-up or impact option this season. Alexis Sanchez and more recently Danny Welbeck have usually got the nod in the ‘number 9’ role and he’s started only 11 Premier League games.

A serious revamp of the forward line is expected this summer, especially with Sanchez still tipped to leave, and a report from the Daily Mirror suggests that Giroud may be willing to look elsewhere.

Such is the incredible depth of talent that France have to choose from ahead of next summer’s World Cup, competition for a place in the final 23-man squad that goes to Russia is fierce and regular club football will give Giroud his best chance of making sure he’s involved.

Marseille are the club that has been most heavily linked with the 30-year-old. The 1993 Champions League winners have embarked on a serious recruitment drive since an American takeover last year and have already re-signed Dimitri Payet in January.

The Mirror’s reports suggest the French side would be prepared to offer Arsenal up to £20m for Giroud, while they are also said to be keen on Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez.

Giroud has always struggled to win fans over at the Emirates Stadium despite a consistent return in front of goal – 98 in 225 appearances over five years – and a tempting financial offer with the promise of regular starts could well be enough to tip the balance.

Frustration runs deeper

Alexis Sanchez admits his frustrated outbursts on the pitch stem from Arsenal's failure to sustain a title challenge. The 28-year-old kept Arsenal in hunt for a Champions League qualification spot as his double secured a 2-0 win over Sunderland on Tuesday, putting Arsene Wenger's side within one point of fourth-place Liverpool ahead of Sunday's final round of Premier League fixtures.

Sanchez has scored 23 of Arsenal's 74 Premier League goals this season and provided 10 assists for his team-mates, and the Chile international feels his side are underachieving.

Alexis Sanchez admits he has been frustrated by Arsenal's failure to challenge for the Premier League title

Asked to explain his visible on-pitch frustrations, Sanchez said: "Because sometimes when I look at the team we have and the players here... because when it comes to winning the Premier League we often lose or draw against teams at home when we are superior.

"Sometimes the frustration more than anything is about the fact we could be challenging for the Premier League title."

Sanchez told Geoff Shreeves contract negotiations will have to wait until the end of the season

The former Barcelona forward has scored in each of Arsenal's last three games as the club have won four games in a row, and Sanchez believes it is his team-mates' mentality that has held them back this season.

"I've always said we have great players here, it's just about having the mentality of being a great player and going out on to the pitch already thinking about winning," he said.

"That's what we've done in the last three games. We had the mentality to win at all costs and we won and we won well."

Should Arsenal fail to qualify for the Champions League the club still have hopes of lifting the FA Cup for the third time in four years, but Sanchez remains unconvinced as to whether the trophy would represent a successful season.

"I don't know whether it would be successful or not, but I think it would be positive to beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final," he added. "I think the players have the desire and mentality."

Sky Sports confirm Wenger set for talks

Arsene Wenger says an announcement on his future is likely to be made following an Arsenal board meeting to be held after the FA Cup final. The Gunners boss has confirmed his position will be discussed with the club's hierarchy after the clash with Chelsea at Wembley on May 27, along with summer transfer business and ongoing contract talks with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

But Wenger refused to discuss the continued uncertainty over his job ahead of their final Premier League game of the season against Everton on Sunday, with his contract set to expire this summer.

The Frenchman said: "I cannot tell you (about my future). The most important thing is to win on Sunday and what happens to me after can wait. I'm here to serve the club.

"I think the board meeting is after the FA Cup final. I will be there. At the moment I think we should focus on the short-term; on the last game and the cup final.

"There are lots of different aspects of a football club that have to be discussed at a board meeting and one of them will be the manager's future, as well as the players that have to come in, the contracts and all of that. You don't miss problems in a board meeting."

When asked whether there will be an announcement in the weeks after that meeting, Wenger said: "Yeah, of course."

Ozil and Sanchez have been involved in protracted talks over new deals, with their contracts to expire in 2018, but Wenger insists they do not carry the demeanour of players that want to leave.

"Maybe one day I might be able to speak about that, but I don't question their determination and focus because every game they turn up with strong performances," Wenger said.

"First of all they're under contract and they behave like they want to be at the club, be in the champions League. They don't behave like players who don't want to be at the club."

ALMOST DONE : Club to complete Arsenal deal for 26-year-old star, Summer transfer on the cards

Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has emerged as surprise option for Spanish club
Valencia ahead of this summer’s transfer window. The Frenchman inked a new long-term deal with the Gunners earlier in the year.Spanish publication AS claims that Los Che are lining up a loan approach for Coquelin as they seek to bolster their squad for the 2017/18 season and beyond.

NEW👇👇 : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

Coquelin, 26, has not been in the best of form for the Gunners this season, and this has seen him drop to the bench following Arsene Wenger’s decision to switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Granit Xhaka has been allotted as the regular in the new setup while Aaron Ramsey has accompanied him in the centre of the park whenever he is deemed fit.

Coquelin has racked a total of 27 appearances for the FA Cup finalists this term, but most of those outings have come mainly due to the injury absence of the Welshman.

The Frenchman had been an initial favourite among the Gunners’ faithful, but he now appears to receive criticism whenever he is on the field as his presence has often coincided with the club dropping points in the Premier League.

Valencia, currently managed by Voro, have managed to claim a respectable 12th place in La Liga following an early-season stumble, and they will be hoping to make a good start next term in order to compete for the European places.

Coquelin currently has three more years on his Gunners deal, and this could be the prime reason behind Los Che proposing a season-long loan for the French enforcer.

Arsenal Preparing £30m Move For South American Full-Back

Arsenal have reportedly joined Manchester City in the race for £30m-rated Serie A defender Alex Sandro.Arsene Wenger’ might be planning for life in a new  3-4-3 formation, a system with wing-backs and Frenchman is in the market for a quality full-backs for the upcoming 2017/18 season.  Kieran Gibbs and Nacho Monreal don’t look like long-term options in that role and 26-year-old Juventus defender who is able to control the left flank fully might be an ideal signing for the Gunners.

According to the Sun claim, Arsenal are not the only Premier League club interested in the services of Brazilian full-back with Man City’s head coach Pep Guardiola seems to be a huge admirer of Juve’s star.

The 26-year-old has shone since joining Juve from Porto last season and has been valued at £30million by Juventus.

Sandro is set to appear in next month’s Champions League final with Juventus and with Arsenal are likely to finish outside the top four Man City have an advantage in the race for Brazilian star.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have also been strongly linked with Schalke full-back Sead Kolasinac, who would be available on a free at the end of the current campaign and if Gunners fail to lure Sandro Bosnian defender has been an alternative for Wenger.

In Focus: Everton plot ambitious double swoop for Arsenal stars

With the future of Ross Barkley in doubt and a healthy financial reward should the 23-year-old leave Everton, Ronald Koeman is keen on spending the money on Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to The Telegraph. This audacious potential bid comes in the wake of another decent season for Everton, who have firmly established themselves as the best team in the Premier League, outside of the top six.  However, reports suggest that Koeman wants to break into the Premier League elite’s exclusive top-six party and make a real effort to bring Champions League football to Goodison Park.

NEW👇👇 : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

Despite the potential departure of Ross Barkley, Everton are already making moves to keep top scorer Romelu Lukaku at the club for at least one more season. However, Koeman wants to add more creativity to assist the Belgian and Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain are thought to be his two favoured choices.

Can Everton convince the duo to join?

The answer to this question will likely come from whether Arsenal can guarantee the two England internationals first team football. Both Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain have struggled to nail down first team places in Wenger’s team over the last 24 months and rumours of discontent are not unfounded.

It also remains to be seen whether Everton could afford the wages of both players. A likely astronomical fee combined with potentially £250,000-per-week in wages would stretch the clubs’ budget to the maximum.

While it remains unlikely that Everton can acquire both Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain, it would be no surprise to see one of them arrive at Goodison this summer, especially if they can be guaranteed first team football and an assault on the Premier League’s top six places.

Arsenal Targeting This 26-Goal Striker: Can Wenger Pull This Off?

Arsenal’s four back to back victories have helped them get closer to a place in the top-4 of the points table but they still need a favour from Liverpool or Manchester City if they are to play in the elite competition next season. However, Wenger is determined to add some quality to his squad and has been linked with a number of star players recently. But one youngster that the French manager has his eyes on is Tammy Abraham.According to the Guardian, Arsene Wenger is looking to get Chelsea’s on-loan star Tammy Abraham to the Emirates this summer. Playing for Championship outfit Bristol City, Abraham has been in terrific form this season and it is reported that Wenger wants him in his side, not as the first choice, but as a backup for his main striker next season. Like in almost every transfer window, Arsenal are looking for a striker who can score regularly for them and are yet again looking  at Alexandre Lacazette for a move this summer. And it is reported that Wenger wants Abraham to play as the backup for Lacazette next season.

NEW👇👇 : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

Known for his deadly finishing in front of goal, the 19-year old is one of the best finishers currently in the second tier of English football. He has an astonishing 26 goals and four assists in all competitions this season and has been one of the most productive, not just in the division but also in the country.

However, his antics were not enough to keep Bristol close to the top half of the table and he could be on his way back to the Premier League. Chelsea may look to stick with him but if Antonio Conte, the current manager spends big on an attacker, Abraham will yet again have to leave on a loan and he might be tempted by the offer from Emirates to play as a backup for the senior squad.

At 19, the English striker is still learning the game and is a star for the future. It is hard to see Chelsea leave him but he could be a great addition for Arsenal in the long term.

The likes of Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck have just not been good enough for the Gunners over a couple of years and either of them might be sold this summer. Lucas Perez was a panic buy and may not have a future in London and Abraham could beat them to a place on the bench next season.

His experience in the English game will also come in handy, making him an exciting prospect, but do you think Chelsea will let him join a direct rival?

DEAL CLOSE: Jordan Pickford could move to Arsenal from Sunderland in the summer transfer window, according to Nigel Winterburn.

Jordan Pickford could move to Arsenal from Sunderland in the summer transfer window, according to Nigel Winterburn. The 23-year-old goalkeeper has earned plenty of praise for his performances for the Black Cats this season despite David Moyes’ men being relegated from the Premier League.

His fine displays are inevitably likely to lead to transfer speculation linking Pickford with a possible transfer away from the Stadium of Light this summer.
NEW👇👇 : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

And Arsenal legend Winterburn claims that Pickford could join the Gunners this summer, claiming that David Ospina could be on his way out of the club.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday morning, Winterburn said: “He is a terrific goalkeeper. He has been very strong this season.

“There is talk of Ospina wanting to move away from the club. Cech is in the twilight of his career. It’s just case of Cech being the number one and Pickford coming in and taking over the following season. He wants to be No1.”

Arsenal still have a faint chance of finishing in the top four this season and will take on Everton in their final game at The Emirates on Sunday, hoping that either Manchester City or Liverpool slip up.

The north London side will also take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley at the end of the month.

Great post from a Sunderland fan who feels sorry for Arsenal fans!

There is nothing like a bit of perspective, which is usually very lacking in Arsenal fans. Gooners will moan about losing to Bayern Munich and Chelsea, while Sunderland fans are cheering all two wins they have managed this year while spiralling to bottom spot in the Premier League!    I just had to laugh when I read this article in the Chronicle this morning from Stuart Rayner, who travelled the 300 miles down to watch his team lose, while half the Arsenal fans didn’t even bother to use their season tickets.Maybe some Arsenal fans should use a bit of empathy when moaning, even when we win……It was hard not to shed a tear for Arsenal.

Second favourites for the FA Cup and going into the final week of the season three points off securing Champions League football for the squillionth season in succession, times are tough at Ashburton Grove.

So it was that the Gunners not-so-faithful chose this televised Tuesday night game to express their anger at Arsene Wenger’s desperate clinging to power by staying at home. The official attendance was a smidgeon under 60,000 – a number so fanciful it could have come from a General Election manifesto.

Like Sunderland, Arsenal add season ticket holders to their tally whether or not they make it off the sofa. As at the Stadium of Light, the gaps in the terraces were glaringly obvious.

The visiting fans must have been struggling to contain their disbelief.

You think you’ve got problems having to put up with Mesut Ozil in your forward line? Try having his opposite number Fabio Borini as both played inside-right in Chelsea-style 3-4-2-1.

Arsenal fans want to see their miserly manager spend more in the transfer market. Sunderland have just gone down with a wage bill which last season was £83m.

Throughout the game Arsenal’s greater class was evident. While they weaved pretty patterns across their pretty pitch, Sunderland misplaced passes and stabbed interceptions back into the path of the team they had just won the ball back from.

At half-time it equated to the same outcome for both teams – the square root of diddly squat.

But whereas 0-0 represented a great result for Sunderland, who increasingly came to understand that prettiness and penetration were not one and the same thing, it was not in Arsenal’s plans – not when they had a three-point gap and a goal difference deficit to make up on Manchester City in the final two games of the campaign.

Despite their 2-0 win, it looks like the Wenger boys might have to do with poor man’s Champions League, the Europa League. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to them.

For once, the boot was on the other foot for Sunderland’s fans. They could enjoy taking the mickey out of their opponents for not being up to scratch.

“You’re not very good,” they sang towards the home supporters – well, okay, the exact words were nothing so polite but that was the gist.

“This is a library,” they added, on account of the quietness within the ground, not the lack of people using it.

“Champions League, you’re having a laugh!” Heading for the Championship is no barrier to a bit of Schadenfreude at a bigger club’s expense, thank goodness.

Watching the Gunners fans’ squirm was a pleasant distraction for Sunderland’s fans, who did not sing an anti-Moyes song all night.

If the home contingent are blessed to have the opportunity to watch players of the quality of Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to entertain them every week, the Wearsiders are lucky – for one more game of football at least – to have Jordan Pickford to marvel at. The Washington-born goalkeeper was in tremendous form, and the defence in front of him gave him every opportunity to showcase his considerable talent by allowing themselves to be sliced open by Arsenal’s slick passer. There were comfortable saves, sliding saves, diving saves and stretching saves.

Only in the 73rd minute when Sunderland very politely stood back and allowed Alexis Sanchez to tap in were the home fans able to have a bit of a gloat. Eight minutes later when the Chilean found the net again, some of them headed out into the rain. By full-time the stand opposite the dugout was practically empty of home fans.

“Wemberlee, Wemberlee,” those that stayed sang to cheer themselves up from this miserable existence of theirs.

Hopefully they enjoy it. It has been a tough old campaign for the men from north London. Sunderland are lucky – they go into the final game of the season knowing exactly what their final position will be. While the Black Cats are soaking up the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal’s will be glued to their phones at home to Everton hoping for good news from Anfield or Vicarage Road.

Sunderland supporters do not realise how lucky they are…

Arsenal round-up: Record broken against Sunderland: Wenger rules out goalkeeper move; Ross Barkley price tag reported

Arsenal continue to put the pressure on the two sides above them after a comfortable 2-0 win over Sunderland. They were the dominant force on Tuesday and attempted 36 shots during the match, which is the most that they have managed in a Premier League game since Opta started collecting stats. It will be a surprise to Arsene Wenger and the club’s supporters that they didn’t score more against the bottom-placed side. They were on top for the entire game and some of their football was great to watch. There are signs that this 3-4-3 formation could prove to be really effective for the Gunners. It was important that Arsenal won on Tuesday as they have kept their slim hopes of a Champions League place alive until the final day. They need Liverpool to drop points and to beat Everton themselves, which seems unlikely, but anything can happen on the final day. Their recent performances have been better and there will be renewed optimism that they can win the FA Cup final at the end of the month. After what has been a turbulent campaign, the Gunners are finishing with momentum and that can only bode well for the summer.

NEW👇👇 : DOWNLOAD NAIJAGIFT ANDROID APP WITH JUST ONE CLICK

The star of Tuesday’s match wasn’t an Arsenal player, but Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. He made an impressive eleven saves, including a couple of excellent ones to keep the home side at bay until the 70th minutes. The keeper has been linked with a move to Arsenal during recent weeks, but Arsene Wenger confirmed after the game that he won’t be in the market for a goalkeeper. The following quotes are reported by the Mirror:

READ  Manchester United round-up: Michael Carrick contract update; Paul Pogba out for Southampton; former defender linked

“We have plenty of goalkeepers. We have Petr Cech, we have Ospina, we have Wojciech, who is on loan at Roma and has had an exceptional season.

“We also have Emi Martinez. If there is one thing we don’t have to buy it’s a goalkeeper.”

There will be lots of clubs making a move for Pickford this summer, but Arsenal won’t be one of them. Wenger is right in his assessments of his goalkeeping situation, as Cech is good enough to be number one for another year and the cover he has is adequate Although if David Ospina and Wojciech Szczesny both leave in the summer, it is a position that he may need to take another look at.

Finally, the Telegraph report that Everton have placed a £50 million price tag on Ross Barkley as they continue their wait on the midfielder’s future. In the past few weeks, Ronald Koeman has given the player an ultimatum with a new contract offer on the table and admitted he will sell him if he does not sign. Arsenal are believed to be frontrunners in the race to sign him, according to the Daily Mail and it will be interesting to see if they are open to paying the fee demanded.

The 23-year-old has a lot of potential and his status as a homegrown player will be appealing to the top six clubs. However, he wouldn’t be value for money at a price of £50 million. His contribution of five goals and eight assists shows improvement, but his consistency is an issue. Arsenal need to get their recruitment right this summer and increase the talent within the squad. Although Barkley would be a good fit for their new system and add tenacity to the midfield, he hasn’t proven that he is at the level required to play for a top club. If the price tag reported is correct, Arsenal should avoid.

Arsenal handed major boost in pursuit of world class player

Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told club chiefs that Karim Benzema and Keylor Navas need to be sold.According to the Don Balon say the Portuguese want the Real pair to pack their packs this summer.  It’s believed Ronaldo is keen to perform regularly next campaign as a lone striker and he recognises Benzema as competition for the role.

The news could be of massive interest to Arsenal.

Arsene Wenger is a long-term suitor of the French striker.

Reports last week suggested the North Londoners chief had a £50m offer for Benzema rejected last summer and he could be targeted again by the Premier League side.

Meanwhile, Navas’ form this season has been inconsistent, although Zinedine Zidane has continued with the Costa Rica international.

The Portugal International is keen for the club to land a more reliable keeper – and he might get his wish.

Real have been hotly tipped to sign up Manchester United shot-stopper David de Gea.

DONE : South-American star agrees Arsenal transfer, 4-years deal agreed

For Arsenal, this is a season to forget as the Club slipped out of the first quartet of the Premier League table for the first time in a very long while and Champions League qualification already looks bleak. The failing of this Club this term might heavily impart on who remains or joins the club in the summer despite the Gunners rich history for nurturing and improving players. It is often said that you cannot have more than XI players on the pitch of play and it appears that South-American Arsenal shot stopper is tired of playing second fiddle to Petr Cech. David Ospina has informed Arsenal that he wants out of the Emirates so as to play regularly, reports Fanatik, via Daily Cannon.

Ospina usurped Arsenal on loan goalkeeper to Roma Woijciech Szczesny to a place in the first team of Arsenal but Arsenal’s acquisition of Petr Cech from Chelsea in the penultimate season saw him lost his place as first choice goalie.

Ospina was linked with a move to the Turkish League last summer but he chose to stay put at the Emirates. However, he is now in the want of a move and has even agreed personal terms with Fenerbahce according to the same report.

Ospina made bare his mind about a probable transfer while speaking to Turkish media outlet.

“I told my club [Arsenal] that I want to go to a team where I’ll play regularly,” he said.

“They know my intention. If the right offer comes, then I’ll happily come to Turkey.

“My agent is taking care of transfer business. In fact, I’m happy at Arsenal but I have to play regularly.

“I told them exactly that. Arsenal’s board told me they will not be making things difficult for me if the right offer comes in. “Let’s see what the future brings.”

Ospina has pulled off so many stunning stops, blocks and finger-tip acrobatics while starring in Arsenal for the Champions League. He played for Arsenal throughout in their Champions League campaign.

The report claims Arsenal will accept £3m fee for the shot stopper who is expected to sign a four year deal.

Arsenal will have to smash their club transfer record in order to sign Everton midfielder Ross after Merseyside club slapped a £50million price tag on his head. The 23-year-old playmaker is out of contract with the Toffees next summer and Everton boss Ronald Koeman ready to sell him as England international star refusing to commit his future with the Merseysiders.

The Toffees will sell Barkley this summer and they are demanding £50m, according to the Telegraph reports.

Arsene Wenger is a huge fan of England international playmaker and has identified him as a replacement for Mesut Ozil, whose future at Emirates stadium remains up in the air.

Like Barkley, Ozil is stalling on a new deal with the Gunners and Arsenal are preparing for the worst scenario.

Everton are determined to recieve the similar fee to the sale of Ross Barkley as they did it with John Stones to Manchester City last summer if he pushes to leave.

Ironically, Arsenal’s record signing remains Mesut Ozil after the German’s £42.5m, however, if Wenger decides to bring Barkley to Emirates stadium he might smash the club’s record transfer fee.
